Hello Susie,

It’s been an exciting as well as scare-y process, with lots of thoughts along the line of What was I ever thinking?, etc., as I’m sure you will understand and I hope you will be interested enough to want to get a copy. It isn’t published until October, so lots of time yet.  

This year, for some reason unknown to me, I’ve had two approaches to launch in India, which sounds very interesting to me.  For the first approach, the timing just wasn’t right as I wanted to concentrate on my book. The second one, however, came only yesterday.  

This time I said yes! I am invited to give a webinar for a women’s college which is online for women attending the particular course they provide and it reaches out to Indian, Pakistani, and Saudi women. And, I have to tell you... I’m really excited to have been invited.  

When I asked how they chose me, their answer was that they had found me on LinkedIn and my profile fit exactly what they were looking for...so, my suggestion to you is to make sure you are on LI too!

This is something that several of my own mentors choose to do each year, and as a result, it is now also something that I have developed into my own habit.

Mid-Year Life Audit and Assessment

As I said in my opening greeting, this is a deeply important process because it's so easy to slip into busyness that leads you away from where you want to be by year-end.

I thought you would appreciate me sharing with you some of my favorite journaling questions, garnered from several of my mentors and including some of my own, and share how I use them.

First, I take out a pretty journal like the one pictured above.

Then I sit quietly and set my intention to listen to my inner self -- my Wise Self or Rishi -- trusting that she knows what the perfect choices are for me to make.

In this issue's The Susie Zone, we continue our exploration of the Transform Your Life Through Chakra Work: Continuing an Introduction to Your Chakras.

This month, I am pleased to offer you the Throat Chakra (Lotus Vishuddha); encouragement of communication center; the center of truth, personal expression, responsibility, faith and creativity.

The 5^th of the 7 energy centres is located along your spine and is referred to as the Throat Chakra, or Vishuddha.

Represented by a sky-blue colour, this source of energy is located in your neck near your spine. Its activation area lies in your throat, thus the name.

It also relates to your mouth and ears, and how you speak and hear. There are physical benefits which a healthy throat chakra delivers. Your psychological well-being (or poor mental health) is also related to your throat chakra.

Esther Hicks (née Weaver, born March 5, 1948) is an American inspirational speaker and author. She has co-written nine books with her husband Jerry Hicks, presented numerous workshops on the law of attraction with Abraham Hicks Publications and appeared in the original version of the 2006 film The Secret. The Hicks' books, including the series The Law of Attraction, are — according to Esther Hicks — "translated from a group of non-physical entities called Abraham." Hicks describes what she is doing as tapping into "infinite intelligence."

According to Esther and Jerry Hicks, "Abraham" consists of a group of entities which are "interpreted" by Esther Hicks. Abraham have described themselves as "a group consciousness from the non-physical dimension." They have also said, "We are that which you are. You are the leading edge of that which we are. We are that which is at the heart of all religions." Abraham has said through Esther that, “whenever one feels moments of great love, exhilaration, or pure joy, that is the energy of source and that is who Abraham is.”

Esther herself calls Abraham "infinite intelligence," and to Jerry they are "the purest form of love I've ever experienced." Her teachings (referred to as "Abraham–Hicks teachings") are based on this experience. The basic tenets of the teachings includes one that says that people create their own reality through their attention and focus. Emotions are a person's guidance system that indicates how close or distant that person is to how their Source feels about a particular topic of focus. Life is supposed to be fun and easy. The essence of Abraham–Hicks' teachings since 1986 has been presented as follows:

Individuals are physical extensions of the non-physical.

• People are in their bodies because they chose to be.
• The basis of life is freedom; the purpose of life is joy; the result of life is growth.
• People are creators; they create with their thoughts and attention.
• Whatever people can imagine clearly with emotion, by creating a perfect vibrational match, is theirs to be, or do, or have.
• Individuals choose their creations as they choose their focus.
• Emotions indicate what people are creating, either consciously or unconsciously.
• The universe adores people; it knows their broadest intentions.
• Individuals are invited to happily relax into their natural well-being and know that all is well.
• Life is not meant to be a struggle, but a process of allowing.
• People are creators of "thought-ways" on their unique "paths of joy".
• Desirable physical manifestations such as money, relationships, and lifestyle success are by-products of focusing on joy.
• Individuals may depart their body without illness or pain.
• People cannot die; their lives are everlasting. Death of the physical body does not end the life of the individual.
• The nature of the universe is life-affirming. It is infinite, creative, and expanding.
• All desire can be fulfilled.
• Individuals are not only a part of the universe but are the very source of it.

A large part of Hicks' work centers around the law of attraction, a concept which William Walker Atkinson (1862–1932) wrote about in his book Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World (1906).
