Hello {!name_fix},

I cannot believe how quickly the time flies... it just seems like a couple of days ago that I was in touch, and here we are again. As always, it's been fun getting your feedback!

I've added a new feature to my ezine that lets you all know that, if you'd like me to be a guest on any of your webinars or teleseminars, speaking about my passion for making a contribution, I have options available in my calendar, and it would be really special to explore possibilities together. This is a new venture for me, and I was inspired by the feedback I'm getting from you—so many of you have expressed an interest in discovering how contribution could feature in your own lives and businesses as an ordinary and everyday occurrence.

For now, I would like to remind you that you have the opportunity of a free 30-minute consultation with me to discuss where you are in your life, what problems you may be facing and discover what your solutions are. Please remember to click on my Skype link or email me (susie@susiebriscoe.com) to schedule a time.

Let me know your thoughts, but for now, sit back, favourite mug of hot drink in hand, and settle down for a comfortable chat with a friend.

Loving hugs,

Top 10 Ways To Cope With Job Transition
by Susie Briscoe

Here are some ways to cope with change, whether it's thrust upon you or your choice... remember when the final chip goes down, it will always remain your choice as to how you react.

Job transitions can be stressful—whether they're due to layoff, a new job or working extra hours because others workers were laid off. If you're facing one, consider the following; they are my top 10 ways of managing work change with ease and grace.

1. Take an honest look at yourself. What are your strengths, weaknesses, skills? How did those influence—positively or negatively—your transition?

2. Step up your self-care. Major changes are physically and emotionally taxing. You need self-care now more than ever.

3. Engage your curiosity. What went wrong, or right? What could you have done better? What worked really well?

4. Focus on what you want, and less on what you don't want. Keep your eye on the prize.

5. Find support. Since your transition affects your family as well, it may be better to seek the outside support of friends or professionals.

6. Work on your thoughts. Calm your fears and reinforce your sense of hope and happiness.

7. Reassure (or avoid) those who are threatened by, or jealous of, the change.

8. Create your own rite of passage. Ceremony and ritual help with all transitions.

9. Let go of how things were "supposed to be" and accept "how things are." Find appreciation for what is.

10. Keep things in perspective. Or try on a new perspective. Don't get stuck. Remember, the only constant is change.

Please don't hesitate to call or Skype me if you'd like to explore this issue further.
10 Tips For Branding Your Biz
by Janet Slack

Many business owners only think about their brand when they first start in business. Today, I want you to review how well your brand is presenting your business. Your brand is the image of your business, and it is what connects you to your customers and prospects and keeps you in their minds.

It's the umbrella idea that should be carried through in all your marketing and sales efforts. How many of the following points are you doing well?

I have a business vision and mission. My brand is based on this and is consistent and comprehensive.

I have identified colors for my brand and use them consistently.

My business name relates to the brand and is easy to remember and spell. I own a domain name related to my brand name.

I know my target audience and how my brand appeals to them.

I know how my brand is different from others whose work may look similar. I know what makes me unique and why my clients purchase from me.

I have a logo that is consistent with my brand, includes the brand colors, and is simple and clear.

I have a tag line for my brand that highlights how my business is distinct.

My brand has a personality that I have described with a list of characteristics. This personality is true to my own personality so that it builds connection with my audience.

Every medium that I use for marketing (social media channels, website, blog, email, paperwork, etc) contains elements of my brand, and they all are consistent with the overall message.

My brand is recognized on its own, so my business is known at a glance.

Those are the ten key points for having a brand that helps you sell your business and makes it hard for the right prospect to resist you. If you are coming up short in a few areas, I hope you will spend some time working through that area.

Giving Back... Contribution is such an important part of our lives these days, whether at a local community, an individual or a global level.

Having so much fun at the moment: my dear friend and colleague Jagat Mahatara from Nepal has invited me to help him set up his medial charity to open a street clinic for street children in Nepal.

We are just getting together all the information we need to get our website up and running. This is another example of how one person can make a real difference.

Jagat is a Nepali doctor of medicine and his over-riding love for his country is driving him to make a real and very tangible contribution to those who are living on the street.
Susie is an optimist and lover of life. There is no 'impossible' in her vocabulary and this attitude is both infectious and inspirational. She will broaden your thinking and most importantly, you will have great fun working with her.

"No enterprise can exist for itself alone. It ministers to some great need, it performs some great service, not for itself, but for others... or failing therein, it ceases to be profitable and ceases to exist."

- John Calvin Coolidge, Jr.

John Calvin Coolidge, Jr. was the 30th President of the United States. A Republican lawyer from Vermont, Coolidge worked his way up the ladder of Massachusetts state politics, eventually becoming governor of that state.

Presidential term: August 2, 1923 - March 4, 1929
