7 Healing Methods for Unblocking Your Chakras

Chakra work involves focusing on the different energies that lie within our bodies. There are 7 known chakras or energy vortexes that contain certain powers that contribute to the health of the body.
A balanced chakra allows energy to flow in and out. A blocked chakra can lead to imbalance in physical and mental health and negatively affect your relationships.
There are several ways to balance and unblock the chakras, including:
- Meditation
- Touch
- Chakra Stones
- Massage
- Essential Oils
- Yoga
- Chanting
Let’s look at each of these in turn.
1. Meditation
Meditation through visualization of the chakra can focus the energy of the chakra. Simply through paying attention to it, you will be able to get the power flowing again.
2. Touch
Touching the chakra with a hand or finger also focuses the energy of the chakra. Laying your hands on the front or back of the area where the chakra is located will stimulate and balance it.
3. Chakra Stones
Chakra stones, also known as crystals, are believed to balance energy and even magnify it. Touching a chakra stone to the chakra will enhance its power. The stones can be used on their own, or as part of chakra massage.
4. Massage
Massage is touch also, used to make a deeper connection with the chakras. You can massage the chakras at the front of your body, or get a massage therapist or partner to massage the 2 most difficult chakras to reach on your back, the solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra. The massage can also be done with essential oils.
5. Essential Oils
Essential oils are the distilled essences of plants used for health and healing. They can be added to chakra massage to balance and move the energy. Certain oils can also work well with particular chakras.
6. Yoga
Many yoga poses can balance the body and mind. Kundalini yoga in particular is excellent for chakra work because many of the poses are designed to harness chakra energy and move it up and down the body as needed.
7. Chanting
Each chakra has an associated sound or mantra that goes with it. The word mantra means word or spell. The most common mantra to use in meditation, yoga and any other chakra work is OM.
