A Note from Susie

Hello Susie,

I adore the month of June as all the meadows around where I live come alive with the colourful wildflowers and the buzz of bees collecting their pollen to make delicious honey. At last I have some peony roses and grasses to grace near where I sit and the scent from the blooms is intoxicating.

The promise of summer remains just around the corner… so with the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament about to start in July, we continue to live in hope!

This month's featured article is the third and final in a 3-part series about the power of Habit Forming. In The Susie Zone we look at the Japanese concept of Ikigai as well as revisiting the concept of Kaizen by means of a free gift! This gift offers you a few exercises of Kaizen to go through, so I hope you will find value there.

I love getting your feedback; it helps me understand what it is you are looking for and I'd also like to remind you here that one of your best decisions is to get your breakthrough session with me and discover what plans and habits you could be implementing this year going forward!

I always endeavor to give you value, and that you consider this an online magazine – your personal ezine - which is equal to one of your favourite monthly “glossies” that you purchase from your local newsagent or newsstand, which is why I always try to make it as interesting and different for you to be able to dip in and out of.

Please feel free to introduce your friends to meet me here in our special shared space. Simply copy this URL - tiny.cc/NewsFromSusie - and paste it into an email to your friend(s) and invite them to join us!

For now, I would like to remind you that you have the opportunity of a free 30-minute breakthrough consultation with me to discuss where you are in your business and personal life, what problems you may be facing, and discover how I may help you. Schedule your appointment with me here.

My call to action - aside from scheduling a free session with me - is to take a look at my website and see which of the resources would be the most help to you right now.

Once again, let me know your thoughts as I always enjoy hearing from you, and for now sit back - favourite hot (or cold) drink in hand - and settle down for a comfortable chat with a friend.

And, one last thing! Don’t forget to claim your free gift on Kaizen from The Susie Zone! I hope you have all enjoyed our usual summer – sunshine with lots and lots of rain!

Loving hugs,

The Incredible Power of Habit Forming (Part 3)

by Susie Briscoe

How to Stick to Your New Habits

It’s normal to want everything to remain the same – even though we may desperately want to change ourselves for the better, we remain drawn to the old ways. That’s because we’re getting some type of reward for the habit.

When you smoke, you get the reward of the “nicotine high,” or if you bite your nails, you’re passing time in a way that helps calm you down or simply gives you something to do with your hands.

Every habit is based on rewards. Your new and better habits will also be based on a reward system. It will succeed or fail depending on how you view that reward.

Part Three will focus on some strategies that will help you on your quest to set up a system within your thought pattern and your life that can get you through the bad times when you... (Click here to access and read the full article.)

The Susie Zone

This month I’ve decided to look at the Japanese concept of Ikigai and I’ve taken this information directly from Wikipedia as I feel that the explanation is put so clearly… and it’s a concept that I feel follows on from or is a part of the Kaizen concept, which we have discussed many times. I hope you enjoy it.

Ikigai (Sourced from Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia)

Ikigai (生き甲斐, pronounced [ikiɡai]) is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being." The word "ikigai" is usually used to indicate the source of value in one's life or the things that make one's life... (Click here to access and read the full article.)

My gift from The SusieZone this June is an ebook of Kaizen exercises which I hope you will enjoy completing. Click here for your free copy.

What Others Are Saying
I felt that you explained everything very clearly to me and this made me feel very 'safe'. Your questioning skills were excellent; they were not invasive but they hit just the right challenging tone to help me really examine what I meant. You had the ability to come at things from another angle when I got stuck and at the end of the session I felt that I had been listened to carefully and thoughtfully.

Your comments were insightful and really helped to move me on in my thinking. I thank you, as it was a very helpful session!
