The Next Revolution in Branding: Becoming a Key Person of Trust: The Exclusive Education for Entrepreneurs Who Want to Achieve More, by Karin Sebelin

Why becoming a Key Person of Trust (KPT) is THE NEXT REVOLUTION IN BRANDING... and will help you to maximize success.

Karin Sebelin is a colleague of mine as well as being a successful author, trust expert, personal branding coach, and trainer (Key Person of Trust) and a motivational speaker.

Her new book explains how you can become successful. Karin will also teach you how to become a remarkable personality, a great leader, and a trusted and respected brand.

It makes a really good read with lots of good pointers to help you immediately understand the importance of branding and actually gives great tips on the 'how to' of marketing.

The Metaphysical Book of Gems and Crystals, by Florence Mégemont

I added this ‘gem’ of a book to my already extensive library on the subject of crystal healing because I felt it was addressing some otherwise untapped knowledge about the use of crystals, gems and stones with regard to their usage over millennia for the purpose of healing.

I have not been disappointed.

I rate this book alongside Katrina Rafael’s and Melody’s already iconic status within this world and recommend it for the serious student researching this subject.

Gemstones have been used for both therapeutic and spiritual purposes since the beginning of time and in all traditions. Used properly, they can contribute to and accelerate healing through the practice of lithotherapy, which uses gems and minerals to restore enzymatic functions and they can energise spiritual development.

Alternative medicines such as homeopathy have given prominence to the therapeutic character of certain minerals, but the use of gemstones in expanding awareness or establishing a holistic, energetic connection with the stone itself have scarcely been brought forward.

In this reclaiming of ancient wisdom, Florence Mégemont explores the many potent and beneficial dimensions of the mineral world. Over 70 precious and semiprecious stones are inventoried as to their principal deposits, therapeutic applications, and zodiac correspondences.

Readers will discover which physical and emotional disorders can be relieved by using which minerals and, with the application of chakra therapy, which gemstones are indispensable to their spiritual health.

While not proposing that lithotherapy is a substitute for traditional allopathic treatment, Mégemont shows that it can be a powerful complement to it. Additionally, stones can act preventatively, energising both our health and spiritual resources to a state of balance and attunement.

Living Full Tilt: Celebrate Life, by Joe Murphy

This new bestseller contains unique wisdom to make conscious choices to reach your dream goals, elevate your daily life, and live your life to the fullest.

Joe Murphy's new bestseller is a guide to help you - and readers across the globe - live your/their lives to the fullest.

And, in the interest of full disclosure, I am so happy to say he is not only a colleague but trusted friend over many years.

His book encompasses many serious topics while maintaining a light-hearted and honest tone. It reinvents spirituality and helps you integrate it into your modern lives. It inspires you to change how you perceive good and bad incidents in life and provides vital insight on how to enjoy the journey of life day-by-day.

Living Full Tilt: Celebrate Life! is a lifestyle in itself! Joe explains what living full tilt means and how it has helped him remain resilient throughout the years whiled maintaining positivity in his life. He shares his take on many questions that people often ask themselves and provides clarity on the contradictions of human living.

Joe has found the root cause for happiness is ultimate self-love and forgiveness in order to grow and expand. Ultimately, the book helps you make not just a choice but rather your best choice to create a life for yourself that you have always imagined.

Joe Murphy's highly adaptable advice is a welcome voice of understanding in the clutter of modern living. I highly recommend this as a necessary addition for reading in your own library!

Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World, by Cal Newport

I bought this as a result of a conversation I had with my VA, Anne Barton, during our last work session together. It was she who recommended that I would find this interesting, helpful, and inspiring… I have not been disappointed!

This was quite an inspiring, but challenging, read. Not challenging in the sense of difficult - the book is very-well written and flows easily - but it goes against the grain of so many current social and work habits and fads.

In this reader at least, the book did provoke quite a profound sense of loss when I realized what I could and did achieve earlier in my life against what my current distracted self can achieve.

The book falls into two broad sections: the first is the why - why deep work is good but why it doesn't happen; the second is the how - tips to make deep work happen in your life, with very different approaches depending upon the nature of one's life and work.

The book does point out that deep work genuinely isn't for everyone - for different but related reasons, CEOs of huge corporations and carers of young children might be better off entirely working at the 'shallow' level. However, it does make excellent points about how routine administration, productivity checks, and social discourse, especially using social media, are vampires of time and attention like nothing else.

As well as being very useful for individuals, many managers could usefully read this book to help empower workers to achieve more of real value and - and this point is not unrelated - stop constantly harassing them with administrative requests of little or no real importance.

One important facet of this is it shows very persuasively how deep work is almost the opposite of long work, or overwork - working better decreases working time overall, with much better results. For employees, and intelligent employers, what is not to like about that? It really chimed in with my experiences in the organized working environment.

So highly recommended for anyone interested in how to work better on an individual level, or how work might be improved on an organizational level.

I suppose I can't say better than that since I actually made one set of the recommended changes immediately on finishing the book!

And as always, I'd love to hear what you think about these books!!
