Crystalline Illumination: The Way of the Five Bodies, by Katrina Raphaell

Katrina Raphaell is the most knowledgeable crystalogist, and is my preferred authority on the subject.

She is very insightful and has great intuition and empathy towards the living energy that is contained or affected by crystals.

I have read quite extensively on crystals and find her four-part book series to be among the most useful.

Over the years, I have collected all Katrina's books. I think they are very special and offer amazing information about how to use crystals for one's soul enlightenment and body healing.

Crystalline Illumination is the ultimate reference book about crystal layouts and contains exceptional teaching which is difficult to find elsewhere.

La Presencia Femenina de la Mujer Profesionista: Una Guía para tu Éxito Profesional en el Trabajo (Spanish Edition), by Juracy De Johnson

Juracy's new bestseller serves as a profession/career guide for both Mexican and Latin American professional women, sharing professional leadership secrets, tips, and strategies tor these businesswomen to succeed.

She shows women from all parts of the world how to get started with their careers and how to get rid of their limiting beliefs in order to become fully personified professional leaders.

  It is a journey which is well trodden by women from every continent.

Her targeted demographic is Latin American and Mexican women who are just starting out professionally. It took Juracy years learning how to find her way in the workforce and learn these strategies and she wants young women to have this essential information early on, so they can start elevating their professional potential from the very beginning.

Triggers: Sparking Positive Change and Making It Last, by Marshall Goldsmith and Mark Reiter

My biggest take away from this book is ‘Invest in your future’ – it is a thoughtful guide on how to change yourself.

I have to declare my hand right at the start of this:  I am in total admiration of Marshall Goldsmith and am fortunate to have had conversations and communications with him.

That said, it is a short book which is very helpful; the subject is behavioural coaching and the title ‘Triggers’ is truly apt.

It is written in a conversational tone and the insights are well thought through. ‘Triggers’ is also one of those books which is useful for beginners: it helps one become a better professional and leader; it is a useful tool to have in the toolkit for coaches and CEOs; it contains powerful one-liners, quotes, and diagrams.

You can gift this book to your friends and they will thank you forever for your kind gesture.

Most self-help books tell you what to change. This book tells you HOW to decide on the changes you need to make and how to make that change stick by:

  1. understanding why changing yourself is really difficult;
  2. giving you practical tools to help: e.g. telling people what you're trying to change, assessing your progress by using daily or hourly questions, and setting up some structures to force yourself to stick with it;
  3. challenging you to come up with changes that deep down you know you will never regret making.

I strongly recommended reading this book!

Debrett's Guide for the Modern Gentleman, by Tom Bryant

I have bought this book as a gift for my grandson, as he will become a teenager on April 9th. I am expecting a little flak from not only him but also my daughter and son-in-law… but hey-ho! My idea is to get him to take a look at what being a modern gentleman is all about.

We cannot really expect today’s young men to behave as though we are living in the 18th century, however bringing manners up-to-date for the 21st century did strike me as being a good idea.

The book covers tailoring and many other helpful tips on what it takes to survive in our modern society.

I really hope he likes it more that I expect and that it will become a treasured source of information over the coming years as he grows into a young man. Wish me luck with that thought!

And as always, I'd love to hear what you think about these books!!
